Distinguished Merit ~ Grand of Distinction ~ Top 10 in Agility ~ Best of Color

A cat can earn a Distinguished Merit Award (D.M.) if a female is the dam of five cats that have been shown to Grand Champion, or a male is the sire of fifteen cats shown to a Grand Championship. This award recognizes the dedication required to achieve a successful breeding program, and is coveted by those receiving it for their cats.

GCD – Grand Champion of Distinction, earned by receiving at least 30 finals for each of 3 show seasons

GPD – Grand Premier of Distinction, earned by receiving at least 30 finals for each of 3 show seasons

Agility is a pre-entered competition, open to any cat, so a household pet could be the overall winner as easily as could a top winning grand champion or perhaps a litter mate of a grand champion who does not do well in the conformation classes but is a star in the agility class.

When all the cats in a color group have been appraised, the judge awards Best of Color Class(Black) and Second Best of Color Class (White).
